Update following the FCA announcement
On 07 October 2025, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced a proposed redress scheme relating to motor finance commissions between 2007 and 2024. Details of the announcement can be found on the FCA website.
The FCA are currently seeking feedback on complaint handling rules.
A policy statement and final rules are planned to be published by the FCA early in 2026, with a redress scheme launching shortly after.
